The first revision of my book is now complete! Whooo-hoooo!
Coming in at a little over 72,000 words is my first novel and I’m actually pretty happy with it. I can’t believe I’ve been pouring into this thing for about two months, but it’s done. My next step is to get a couple of copies done and get some beta readers to take a look.
Hey, out there in the blogosphere, if you are interested in being a beta reader for this, I’m actually looking for one or two other readers to take a look. This is a book that’s geared for young adult supernatural readers, so if that’s you, comment below if you are interested. I’m looking for readers who are familiar with the genre and enjoy reading this particular type of book. What do you like, what do you not like, what wasn’t clear, what wasn’t necessary; I need a perspective into this stuff.
I would like to say that I’m looking at a two week break where I do nothing at all, but that’s not really going to be the case. I’ve got some ideas for another fantasy themed story but I’ve got some world building to do first. It will be a shift into a little bit of a different direction, but I’m looking forward to it. After a few weeks into something else I can come back with beta reader feedback and get going again.
